About the role...

As a Senior Product Manager, In-App Purchases, you will drive the strategy and execution for features that keep learners engaged on Duolingo, focusing on the virtual gaming economy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and driving our in-app purchase business and consumer-facing product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration.
• Leading and iterating the roadmap for our IAP items from discovery and purchase to adoption post-purchase.
• Experimenting with different IAP levers to unlock bookings growth without compromising our educational mission.
• Establishing the product vision and strategy for the IAPs business and building alignment across product teams and partners.
• Performing qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas.
• Partnering with product designers to ensure a fun and delightful user experience.
• Working with engineers and designers to guide feature development.
• Performing experiment analysis on features and finding opportunities for optimization.

Requirements

• Proven track record in building monetization products for mobile games with strong product management expertise.
• Strong understanding of gaming monetization models.
• Desire to make the world a better place through technology and education.
• Experience generating impressive results as a product manager.
• Ability to utilize user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions.
• Top-tier design sense.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, be curious, and innovative.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Design, Psychology, or equivalent.
• Experience in growing a mobile IAP business.
• Experience in optimizing gaming economies including in-app currencies.

• Salary range: $177,700-$240,400 USD.
