Description

We are seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to play a critical role in delivering Ford's mission to provide affordable, world-class electric vehicles (EVs). As a Global Supply Manager (GSM), you will be at the forefront of making this mission a reality.

The UEV platform represents a significant step-change in efficiency, affordability, and digital experiences, featuring an ultra-efficient powertrain and a groundbreaking fully zonal architecture with in-house software controls and ADAS.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies for critical spend areas across the UEV platform and follow-on advanced EV programs.
  • Collaborate with engineering from concept through launch to align sourcing strategies with technical roadmaps and design freeze milestones.
  • Create first-principles should-cost models with cross-functional teams to drive a ground-up, physics-based part and system cost perspective.
  • Lead make-vs-buy analyses to ensure a best-in-class supply chain that delivers optimal value.
  • Develop the supply base for resilience, identifying and qualifying Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners across geographies.
  • Drive automation across the supply chain to deliver best-in-class supply chain efficiency.
  • Shape the tools and processes used by the ADVEV supply chain, including should-cost methodology and AI-enabled analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management.
  • Experience with creative negotiation skills and out-of-the-box strategy.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or MBA.
  • Hands-on experience building and launching highly effective supply chains.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
