Staff Analytics Engineer

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

The Analytics team is responsible for modeling internal data into reusable entities that generalize how Anduril operates. You will work with stakeholders to understand how Anduril functions and model data to create a digital twin of operations.

As a Staff Analytics Engineer, you will prioritize velocity and push the frontiers of what analytics can do within an organization. You will be a player-coach, setting an example for your team and defining what great looks like while also being their advocate and mentor.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate ability to be both an IC and a people manager
• Become the Trusted Partner for end-to-end data flows
• Become an expert in domain areas of direct reports and provide guidance, mentorship, and support
• Lead building of Anduril's ontology for a specific domain
• Collaborate with stakeholders, collect requirements, and write code for Secure, Timely, Accurate, Trusted, and Extensible Data Models
• Seek out problems solvable with data and work with the organization to make it a reality
• Become a trusted resource for Anduril leadership

Tools and Technologies:

• Palantir Foundry for data-driven applications and visualizations
• SQLMesh for data transformations
• Athena for querying data
• Apache Iceberg as table format
• Flyte for orchestration

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in analytics ecosystem
• 2+ years in a Lead role
• Experience managing a team in a dynamic environment
• Track record of leading cross-functional technical initiatives
• Experience working with sensitive data and maintaining security protocols
• Experience with data stack tools
• Ability to build world-class data models
• Demonstrated aptitude for strategic partnerships and communication with non-technical stakeholders
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
