Description
Okta is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to own its Customer Advisory Boards (CABs).
This role involves driving the strategy and execution of advocacy programs, ensuring alignment with the business, and strengthening critical customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer marketing, a track record of managing advisory boards, and the ability to navigate complex organisational structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the CAB program end-to-end, including chartering, membership, meeting cadence, programming, and action-item follow-through.
- Partner with stakeholders to nominate, recruit, and maintain CAB membership.
- Design CAB meeting agendas with Product Management, Product Marketing, and other teams to ensure strategic alignment and mutual value.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for CAB members and their executive assistants.
- Provide customer insights, synthesising feedback and routing it to the right owners in Product and GTM.
- Coordinate with other customer program teams to ensure CAB members are not over-asked.
- Report on CAB health and impact to Marketing and Sales leadership.
- Act as the primary customer advocacy lead, partnering cross-functionally to build a streamlined process for identifying top customer voices.
- Connect with account teams to capture customer stories and build detailed briefs.
- Partner with product marketing and management on release marketing.
- Track cross-functional activation requests and report rigorous program metrics and KPIs.
- Occasional travel required to support Okta-owned events and programs.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working in B2B tech marketing, with dedicated experience in customer marketing/advocacy and/or managing executive-level programs.
- Flawless communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Proven ability to build, cultivate, and protect critical customer relationships.
- Strong analytical skills.
