Figma is growing its team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. The Corporate Counsel will help develop the company's corporate and securities legal strategy, ensuring the legal approach scales with the company's growth. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of the US hubs or remotely in the United States.
The successful candidate will support the preparation, review, and filing of Figma's SEC reports and other corporate regulatory filings, including quarterly reports, the annual proxy statement, Section 16 filings, and beneficial ownership reports. They will also support review of public-facing corporate communications, including earnings materials and investor presentations.
In addition, the Corporate Counsel will assist with corporate governance matters, including preparing Board and Committee materials and maintaining and operationalizing public-company policies. They will provide support on equity matters, including 10b5-1 plans and Figma's trading policy.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of legal experience at a top-tier law firm and in-house legal department, with a deep knowledge of corporate and securities laws and SEC reporting requirements. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and business judgment, with the ability to distill complex issues and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
