The Director Strategic Sourcing Management for Service Supply Chain Operations is responsible for crafting and implementing sourcing strategies that ensure continuity, scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience of service-related supply chains.

This role directs strategic supplier engagement throughout logistics, repair, reverse logistics, field services, and aftermarket operations, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Quality to support rapid growth and evolving service models.

Key responsibilities include developing and improving a high-performing supplier network, handling complex commercial negotiations, promoting clear improvements in cost, service quality, risk reduction, and operational execution across a global or regional supply chain.

The successful candidate will lead make-vs-buy analyses, supplier segmentation, and capacity planning to support current and future service demand.

They will own supplier selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier performance management, including SLAs, important metrics, and continuous improvement commitments.

The Director will partner with Service Operations, Logistics Execution, Repair/Remanufacturing, and Field Operations teams to ensure sourcing strategies enable operational excellence.

They will identify and minimise supply, capacity, geopolitical, and operational risks across the service supply chain.

The Director will deliver measurable cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value creation year over year.

They will lead, mentor, and develop a team of strategic sourcing professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field or equivalent experience.

They will have more than 12 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, focusing on service supply chain operations and 8+ years of people management experience.

Proven experience in recognising and managing intricate service providers (logistics, repair, reverse logistics, field services, or similar) is essential.

The successful candidate will have proven success leading high-value negotiations and managing large, multi-year supplier contracts.

Strong understanding of service supply chain metrics, SLAs, cost drivers, and operational trade-offs is required.

Excellent collaborator management, executive communication, and influence skills are necessary.

Additionally, an MBA or advanced degree, experience in high-growth, technology, infrastructure, data centre, or advanced manufacturing environments, global or multi-region sourcing experience, familiarity with risk management, trade compliance, and regulatory requirements impacting service supply chains, and experience building teams and scaling sourcing organisations are desirable.
