Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide patient care and support in an outpatient setting. You will assist with exercises, treatments, and activities designed to help patients recover from injuries or illnesses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progressions
• Implement exercise programs and provide education to patients on proper techniques and safety precautions
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Clean and maintain equipment and treatment areas

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Current licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Texas
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Certification in CPR and first aid
