As a People Advice Manager, you will act as deputy to the Head of People Advice and lead the team in their absence. You will provide expert guidance on complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and capability. You will also advise on high-risk matters such as whistleblowing, settlement agreements, TUPE, redundancy, and tribunal preparation.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the People Advice phone line, inbox, and business change requests. You will build strong relationships with managers and leaders across the business and analyse ER data to identify trends and support proactive interventions. You will also mentor People Advisors and support onboarding, and deliver ER training and contribute to policy development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience, significant ER experience in a complex, fast-paced organisation, and experience in a unionised environment. You will also need to have strong knowledge of UK employment law, excellent coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills, and high emotional intelligence and sound judgement.
