Joining Razer will place you on a global mission to revolutionize the way the world games. We are seeking a driven and experienced Marketing Manager to lead Japan's marketing efforts across brand awareness, product marketing, online and offline retail channels and community engagement.
The ideal candidate is strategic yet hands-on, with experience in managing outreach activities such as social media, PR, and influencer marketing, channel marketing and strong coordination skills to work with cross-functional and regional teams. The role ties in closely with market share and sales revenue objectives and will play a key part in supporting overall business growth in Japan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a localized Japan marketing plan, with a focus on outreach, including social media, public relations, influencer marketing, and earned media to grow brand visibility and cultural relevance.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) marketing campaigns tailored to the Japanese market.
- Collaborate closely with the local Japan team, that includes the Japan Country Manager and Key Account Manager to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
- Work in tandem with the regional HQ team in Singapore and global teams to localize campaign assets and messaging while ensuring consistency with global brand direction
- Provide strategic inputs on both online and offline retail channels to propel revenue growth and positive market share gains
- Manage external agencies, influencers, distributors and media partners to drive impactful campaigns and outreach efforts.
- Lead esports marketing initiatives, including the management of our signed esports team, to maximize exposure, drive engagement, and ensure alignment with brand values and campaign goals.
- Build relationships with local gaming communities, streamers, and tournament organizers to strengthen brand affinity and visibility.
- Plan and execute grassroots and community-driven programs to foster a loyal and active Razer fan base in Japan.
- Track and analyze campaign performance, generate insights, and report regularly on marketing KPIs and outcomes versus targets.
- Oversee the Japan marketing budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to maximize ROI.
- Represent Razer at local industry events, tradeshows, esports tournaments, and gaming activations as needed.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to inform local marketing strategy.
Pre-Requisites
- At least 10 years of marketing experience, ideally in gaming, tech, lifestyle, or consumer electronics.
- Proven expertise in outreach marketing, especially PR, influencer engagement, and social media strategy.
- Demonstrated success in managing NPI campaigns, localizing global content, and launching new products to market.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong experience working with local sales and channel teams to align marketing and commercial priorities
- Proven track record with marketing campaigns driving revenue upside, positive market share gains and good ROI
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working in a multi-national environment and navigating local Japanese business culture.
- Skilled in agency and partner management, with the ability to drive cross-functional execution.
Good to have
- Experience with esports, gaming communities, or working with gaming content creators.
- Basic understanding of Photoshop/design tools for asset adaptation or review.
- Experience with AI tools to perform tasks such as adapting text, translations, artwork
