Senior Product Sourcing Engineer

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. This involves collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list
• Partnering with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities like concept scoping, feature trade-off tables, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs
• Developing and consolidating a manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp up production
• Managing CAPEX during New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Optimizing supply network lead time and flexibility through value-stream mapping
• Conducting BOM risk assessments and ensuring component qualification completion
• Leading cost engineering activities to minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
• Managing ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field
• At least 1 year of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics and mechanical devices
• Expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and potentially relocate to Morrisville, NC

Preferred qualifications include:

• A Master's degree or advanced technical degree
• Experience in design and development of electronics/mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, and supplier development
• Familiarity with high-tech product development in a high-mix, low-volume environment and experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $99,000-$149,000 USD, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
