FBS Guidewire - Application Developer III

Farmers Group seeks an experienced Guidewire Developer to be responsible for the development, design, testing and/or deployment of system functionality for the A360 Guidewire Cloud application. This includes GW Billing Center, GW Policy Center, GW Producer Engage and GW Contact Manager.

Specific duties include:

• Writing code instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple applications
• Configuring packaged software
• Providing expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications
• Reviewing and validating application technical design of team members to ensure alignment with business needs and best practice architecture principles
• Analysing and evaluating existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency
• Researching and developing techniques for automation
• Documenting and implementing programs according to installation standards and conventions
• Identifying complex errors that occur in application testing and analysing results to trouble shoot and execute root cause analysis

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-8 years of total work experience and be certified in Guidewire. They will also have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and proficiency in Java, J2EE, COBOL, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, Guidewire policy center 9.0.5 and 10 development and GOSU language.
