Ford Energy is seeking a Plant Communications and Engagement Lead to join their team in Glendale, Kentucky. As a key member of the plant operating committee, you will develop and implement communication strategies to support business objectives, build positive sentiment and reputation, and craft compelling messages.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support business objectives at the plant
- Build positive sentiment and reputation through communications and engagement with various audiences
- Function as an integral part of the plant operating committee and communications subject matter expert
- Craft messaging, identify stories, and communicate them effectively
- Design, launch, and manage employee communication channels
- Support leaders' messages and presentations
- Plan and execute major events at the site
- Create and nurture relationships with local journalists
- Stay updated on company and industry news
- Measure sentiment and continuously improve approaches
- Develop personal functional competencies and leadership abilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience in communications or media relations
- Strong writing and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Passion for the energy systems industry
- Prior manufacturing communications experience
- Positive attitude and ability to learn quickly
- Organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to leverage AI responsibly
- Ongoing awareness of local events and media environment

Location and Travel: This position is based in Glendale, Kentucky, with 10% domestic travel required.
Salary: The salary range for this position is $85,400-$143,200 or $99,600-$166,600, depending on the salary grade.
