Finance Controller

Crosby Composites is looking for a Finance Controller to lead our financial operations and support the team with insightful analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Control costs to ensure profitability increases more than revenue
• Ensure that necessary financial controls are in place and followed (credit control, payment of suppliers; stock control; WIP)
• Use SAGE effectively to support management decision making and reduce administrative costs; responsible for company's financial and ERP software (SAGE).
• Accurate, timely management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports): sales, cost and profit analysis
• Achieve unqualified audit opinion, and reduce administration and audit costs
• Prepare annual budgets
• Work with funding banks, shareholder, and board incl. preparing board documents
• Escalation point for overdue receivables
• Support IATF and ISO process audits

About you:

• Strong team player. An effectively team worker alongside the wider management team.
• Detailed and hardworking management style; needs to take responsibility and behave like a long-term owner.
• Experience required - Qualified/ part-qualified/ qualified-by-experience accountant (ACA or CIMA) with 5 years PQE essential.
• Experience with SAGE essential.
• Experience of working in £20-50m sales businesses.
• Strong Excel, Outlook, Word skills.

Desirable experience:

• Experience with PowerApps and PowerBI; AI interest.
• Manufacturing and automotive industry experience desirable.
