Description

At Bayer, we're seeking a Senior Area General Manager (Sr. AGM) to lead our Cardiovascular business in the Pittsburgh area. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering top-line targets while effectively leading and managing a dynamic cross-functional customer-facing team.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the specific needs of healthcare practitioners and healthcare systems in their therapeutic area, driving customer and patient-centric outcomes while ensuring performance goals are met. You will work closely with HQ and other stakeholders to drive performance outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving revenue goals for the area by executing comprehensive strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share in the region.
  • Developing and leading a high-performing team in the business unit, including sales representatives, key account managers, and other specialized roles.
  • Setting the vision, providing inspirational and strategic leadership, and direction by translating business strategy into operational goals and outcomes.
  • Identifying, retaining, and attracting high-performing talent for the organization.
  • Gaining and applying a deep understanding of relevant markets, business models, strategic priorities, future direction, and financial drivers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the local area strategy and priorities in collaboration with the cross-functional and HQ team. You will also be responsible for defining the local area strategy and priorities, managing a portfolio of brands across different therapeutic areas, and dynamically allocating resources to maximize impact.

Successful candidates will have a strong track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams, with proven coaching and talent development skills. They will also have exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to work through complexity, and solid selling and negotiation skills.
