Description
Join our family as a Physical Therapy Assistant and help our patients and residents maximise their potential. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will assist patients and residents with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and be responsible for providing, monitoring, and recording therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments. You will select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels and goals. You will exchange information with and provide documentation to the physical therapist about responses to and communications during intervention. You will follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments
- Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels and goals

- Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organisation
Qualifications:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice
- Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
- When applicable, may require valid driver's license
