Description
We are seeking a Senior Legal Operations Manager to join our team at Komodo Health. As a Senior Legal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving the operational infrastructure of our in-house Legal team.
In this role, you will own the legal technology stack end-to-end, including CLM administration, AI tool configuration, and process automation. You will serve as the primary operational partner to the commercial legal function and collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, Sales Operations, and other business stakeholders to align legal processes with enterprise systems and workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for LinkSquares CLM, including end-to-end workflow configuration, template management, metadata governance, routing logic, user permissions, and repository integrity.
- Proactively monitoring the LinkSquares product roadmap; evaluating and championing adoption of new features where they improve contracting operations.
- Analyzing contracting data and usage patterns to identify inefficiencies and implementing structural workflow improvements that reduce cycle times and attorney involvement in routine tasks.
- Translating business requirements from attorneys and commercial stakeholders into clear, functional LinkSquares workflows, independently and without iterative redeliberation.
- Tracking and reporting on CLM performance metrics, including cycle times, self-service rates, routing accuracy, and adoption trends, and delivering actionable reporting to legal leadership.
- Maintaining data integrity and governance standards across the contract repository.
- Serving as the primary administrator and owner of all legal technology tools, including evaluating, implementing, and maintaining the legal tech stack in coordination with the Deputy General Counsel.
- Developing and maintaining a legal technology roadmap aligned with the team's operational priorities and Komodo's broader enterprise systems.
- Coordinating with IT, Procurement, and external vendors on tool integrations, license management, and system configurations.
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting mechanisms that surface operational insights to legal leadership.
- Configuring, administering, and optimizing AI tools deployed by the Legal team, including Claude Cowork (Anthropic), and evaluating additional AI solutions for legal use cases.
- Designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows to automate routine legal tasks, including contract review support, intake triage, document generation, and knowledge retrieval.
- Serving as the Legal team's internal expert on responsible AI adoption, establishing governance standards, use-case guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for new AI tools.
- Partnering with Legal leadership to identify automation opportunities and translating them into implemented, measurable workflow improvements.
- Staying current on developments in legal AI and surfacing relevant tools and capabilities to the Deputy General Counsel for strategic consideration.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable legal operations processes, including intake workflows, legal request triage, template libraries, playbooks, and knowledge management systems.
- Building and maintaining enablement materials, including training guides, workflow documentation, and self-service resources, to improve adoption and reduce attorney time spent on operational questions.
- Identifying process gaps and implementing structural solutions, rather than one-off fixes, with an eye toward repeatability and scale.
- Managing and coordinating external legal technology vendors to ensure effective partnerships, timely support, and strong return on investment.
- Acting as the primary operational partner to the commercial legal team, proactively reducing administrative burden.
- Collaborating with IT, Finance, Procurement, Sales Operations, and other business stakeholders to align legal processes with enterprise systems and workflows.
- Leading cross-functional projects related to legal technology, process redesign, and tool implementation, owning timelines, stakeholder communication, and rollout independently.
- Serving as the first point of contact for business users on contract workflow questions, intake processes, and system-related inquiries.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal operations at a technology, data, or life sciences company.
- Hands-on, demonstrated experience administering LinkSquares CLM or similar, including workflow design and configuration, template management, troubleshooting, and user administration.
- Demonstrated experience configuring and administering AI tools for a legal team, including Claude Cowork or comparable AI productivity platforms.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to learn new tools quickly, configure platforms with minimal external support, and translate legal team needs into system solutions.
- Proven track record of independently owning complex legal operations initiatives from scoping through execution with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement structural solutions.
Preferred qualifications include experience with AI tools, contract management systems, and process automation.
