Description
As the SAP Test Manager, you will be a cornerstone of Ford's transition to SAP S/4 HANA. This is not just a migration; it is a total transformation of our global supply chain and manufacturing logic. You will oversee the end-to-end testing lifecycle , from Unit and Integration Testing (SIT) to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , ensuring that every deployment meets Ford's rigorous quality and performance standards.
A critical component of this role is Regression Management. Given the scale of 60+ global sites, you will be responsible for defining a robust regression strategy that ensures new site deployments do not negatively impact established global business processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers) to identify high-risk areas, perform impact analysis on SAP transports, and maintain a sustainable automated regression suite. Your leadership will foster an environment of continuous improvement, utilizing automation to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle for SAP S/4 HANA MM/PP modules, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
- Regression Impact Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Regression Testing Strategy to safeguard existing site functionality during multi-wave rollouts. Perform Change Impact Analysis to identify how new configurations or customizations affect the global template.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, functional IT teams, and System Integrators to translate complex requirements into executable test plans (Functional Specs, Technical Specs, and BPDs).
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global testing team, ensuring high-quality execution of test cases and efficient defect resolution.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate technical and operational risks associated with SAP deployments.
- Automation Leadership: Drive the transition from manual to automated testing. Provide knowledge transfer to automation resources and oversee the development of modular, reusable test scripts using TOSCA.
- Data & Interface Integrity: Oversee data integration testing for complex inbound/outbound interfaces, ensuring seamless communication between SAP and legacy systems.
- Reporting: Deliver transparent, data-driven reports on testing progress, defect density, and regression health to project leadership.
