Description
We are seeking a Senior Director, Talent Management to lead our Talent and Organization Development team. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing various talent management programs, including organizational effectiveness assessment and improvement, career frameworks, career and leadership development, talent assessment, performance management, workforce and succession planning, organization design, and organizational transformation and culture change.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management and organizational development, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role. They will be responsible for partnering with the executive team to ensure alignment between the organization's people and capabilities with the overall business strategy. They will also be responsible for managing leadership succession plans and support for career paths, identifying gaps in the talent pipeline, and ensuring plans are in place to address these gaps to achieve the organizational business and talent objectives.
The Senior Director, Talent Management will also be responsible for collaborating extensively with Talent Acquisition leadership to enable the creation and understanding of key talent pools (high potentials, diverse, critical role successors) and actively monitoring engagement and development. They will drive internal movement using succession and development plans as a guide.
This is a leadership level 4 position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of relevant standards, procedures, and reporting templates and overseeing their consistent execution to ensure efficient and effective experiences. They will analyze metrics around talent management programs and other key initiatives around employee engagement, talent retention, leadership program utilization, leadership pipeline, succession readiness, etc., to identify trends, potential areas of improvement, and root causes to make appropriate modifications to policies and programs.
The Senior Director, Talent Management will also be responsible for taking ownership of budgets across departments under jurisdiction, regularly monitoring the same against actual performance, and leading the development of strategies to adjust courses of action in case of variance to ensure effectiveness and cost efficiency of all talent development programs.
This position requires a strong understanding of talent management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
