Lead Operator 1st Shift

As a Lead Operator on our production team, you will play a critical role in setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production
- Run up and shut down production facilities, including product changeover activities
- Clean and decontaminate equipment
- Maintain housekeeping of the workplace
- Drive forklifts
- Fill and take over tank wagons
- Conduct routine analytics and take samples
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with the technical team
- Document and communicate work results during shift handovers
As a Lead Operator, you will also support an assigned area within production by performing operator duties, assisting in training new peer operators, and supporting operators by prepping and coordinating materials for successful shift changeovers.
In addition, you will contribute to production optimization in assigned area, work cross-departmentally on projects, and participate in Continuous Improvement activities to support the site's scorecard, fulfill safety expectations, and satisfy internal/external customers' needs.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be willing to work overtime as required, based on production demands
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Technical trade, Business, Communications or Science field
- 3 years hand-on operating experience and 5 years of experience in a government regulated, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or standard operating procedures (SOP) environment
- Proficient knowledge of PSS, PSS Advancement, Integrated Work System, World Class Manufacturing, Toyota Production System or similar work system
