Description

You will be the backbone of our financial execution across our entities.

As a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing incoming invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, matching, and assisting with proper general ledger coding under the guidance of the finance team.

You will handle expense reports, review and process employee expense reports using Payhawk, checking for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

You will also support reconciliations, assist the team in reconciling vendor statements and basic Accounts Payable general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.

Additionally, you will assist with month-end close, supporting the broader finance team during month-end activities by gathering necessary AP documentation and preparing basic schedules.

You will learn and grow, actively learning the AP processes and sharing your ideas for daily workflow improvements with the senior team members.

We are looking for someone with a relevant background, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a strong motivation to start their career in finance.

You should have entry-level experience in an administrative or financial role, or a relevant internship.

You will be detail-oriented, having a highly accurate and task-driven work ethic, and a keen eye for detail.

You will be tech-savvy, comfortable working with digital tools and able to pick up new software easily. Bonus points if you have seen tools like NetSuite, Payhawk, Cobase, or Spendesk before.

You will be a team player, with a proactive, eager-to-learn mindset and good communication skills to collaborate effectively with the rest of the finance team.

This is a part-time position (24 hours per week). The listed salary range represents the full-time equivalent (FTE) and will be pro-rated accordingly.
