IT Technician

The Adler Pelzer Group, a leading supplier of acoustic and thermal insulation for the automotive industry, is seeking an IT Technician for its Santhià Plant in Italy.

The IT Technician's role encompasses the daily technical support and management of IT resources, focusing on end-user satisfaction, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and prompt troubleshooting to end-users for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.
• Maintain, repair, and upgrade desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other hardware equipment as needed.
• Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring proper functionality.
• Assist in network configuration and maintenance, resolving connectivity issues.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures, including access controls and antivirus software.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, configurations, and support requests.
• Use the IT ticketing system to efficiently track, prioritize, and resolve technical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and patches.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in desktop and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and configurations.
• Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Familiarity with software installation, configuration, and updates.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Good level of written English proficiency, a strong oral communication skill would be viewed as a plus.
• Availability to travel to neighbouring plants.
