Responsibilities

As a Feature Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, validate, and release automotive systems, subsystems, and components for Electric Vehicle features. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting with electrical module engineers and software development teams to scope and define Electric Vehicle system interfaces
  • Developing and refining design validation methods for ensuring proper Electric Vehicle feature-level performance
  • Creating system requirements and feature specifications for Electric Vehicle functions
  • Planning and executing design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance
  • Signing off on feature-level performance and executing real-world evaluations to identify system problems and issues
  • Supporting and coordinating root-cause analysis with internal and external suppliers
  • Integrating and configuring Electric Vehicle models and other software packages to enable pre-production feature-level verification
  • Ensuring Electric Vehicle system designs, functional safety, cybersecurity, and other deliverables

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • 3 years of experience authoring and documenting comprehensive system requirements using Gherkin syntax
  • 2 years of experience with architecting, implementing, and integrating robust cloud-based system architectures, services, and software solutions for complex applications
  • 2 years of experience developing and implementing high-performance software solutions using Python or C++
  • 2 years of experience performing comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting, utilizing CAN tools
  • 2 years of experience designing, developing, and integrating robust Network and Mobile Application APIs
  • 1 year of experience designing and optimizing intuitive customer experience interfaces (CXI) with a focus on user-centered design principles and usability
