NVIDIA is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to oversee strategic sourcing and commodity management of Interconnects technologies. The ideal candidate will develop, direct, and influence global sourcing strategies to deliver value in the supply chain.

Job Overview: The Global Commodity Manager will formulate, communicate, and accomplish connector and cable commodity sourcing strategies. This involves building cross-functional alignment with engineering teams, developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and delivering supplier risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build cross-functional alignment with Hardware, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering to identify commodity sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and conduct supplier business reviews.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements, cost reduction strategies, and maintain lead-time, cost systems, and split of business decisions.
  • Deliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, and materials risk mitigation strategies.
  • Rationalize and reduce components and suppliers to capture synergies and reduce risk.
  • Enable early supplier involvement to bring innovation to projects.
  • Concentrated effort in New Product Introduction (NPI) to achieve industry-leading time-to-market.
  • Provide complex capacity planning to support high-volume ramp during NPI stages.

Requirements:

  • BS in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in global commodity management.
  • Proven track record in managing connector, cable, and optics Supply Base.
  • Deep understanding of interconnector and cable technologies, market, manufacturing process, cost drivers, and supply landscape.
  • Ability to be innovative with strategic sourcing, supplier relations, and supplier performance measurement systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, and supply/demand analysis.
  • Ability to incorporate AI tools to enhance supply chain analysis, data integrity, and decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills dealing with supply base executives.
  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment.
