Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external suppliers to deliver base software in support of future Driver Assist Technologies (DAT).
  • Contribute to the development of requirements, high-level design, and detailed design documents for Linux/QNX/RTOS board support package (BSP) software.
  • Prototype on evaluation and first-sample hardware to drive software architecture decisions while properly leveraging hardware capabilities.
  • Provide software support and bring-up for hardware modules developed in-house and through external suppliers.
  • Test and debug BSP SW to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Adhere to common software development practices, including source code management and agile development methods/scrum.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills:
  • C or C++ Programming to design and develop embedded software for microcontrollers, DSP, or ARM microprocessors.
  • Drivers or embedded application development targeting Linux, QNX, or RTOS operating systems.
  • Utilizing Git, SVN, CVS, or VSS for source code management.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills:
  • Designing and implementing firmware or bootloaders in a bare metal environment.
  • Software debugging using JTAG, JTRACE, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM, or GDB to identify the root cause and solution for software defects.
