Head of Global Policy

We are seeking a Head of Global Policy to support our engagements with Congress, Government Agencies, Industry Trade Associations, and more. You will own Scale's global policy strategy across all issue areas, including AI governance, federal procurement, and international AI safety frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute global policy strategy across multiple issue areas
• Lead and grow a team of policy professionals
• Translate business objectives into policy outcomes
• Serve as Scale's senior voice at trade associations, standards bodies, and industry coalitions
• Brief and advise Scale's executive leadership on regulatory and legislative developments
• Lead Scale's response to Rulemakings, Requests for Comments, and regulatory proceedings
• Build and maintain relationships with senior government officials

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Policy or working in the Government
• Experience securing consensus at trade associations and standards bodies
• Experience leading company responses to Rulemakings and Requests for Comments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous technical experience

Nice to haves:

• History working in a startup environment or tech company
• Active U.S. Top Secret or Secret clearance

Salary range:

• San Francisco, CA: $197,600 - $272,000 USD
• Washington, DC: $177,600 - $245,000 USD
