Description

We're looking for an Engineering Specialist-Process-Engine Assembly to join our team at the Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant. As an Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for manufacturing process engineering activity for Engine Assembly, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity. You will apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verifying corrective actions on internal processes and supplier processes Leading and conducting process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with Powertrain Operation guidelines Conducting job ergonomic evaluations and delivering corrective actions as required Analyzing vehicle inventory root causes and engaging in mapping and corrective actions to reduce usable inventory Creating process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes Delivering capable processes and tools for powertrain operations Leading role in resolving assembly-related concerns and variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices Ensuring compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards Supporting ISO 14001 compliance and internal ISO auditing and compliance as required Supporting continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity in assembly and/or machining departments Identifying throughput constraints and driving root cause improvements

If you have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2+ years of hands-on shop floor engineering experience, with 2+ years of data analysis competency using tools such as Minitab and QualityWorX, we encourage you to apply. You should also have practical experience in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions (8D/5-Why) and be proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical/quality software (Minitab, QualityWorX).

The expected annual salary range for this Ford of Canada position is $74,000.00 - $124,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
