At Bayer, we're seeking a Field Sales Rep III to join our team in Central South Dakota. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for achieving assigned targets with Bayer products in coordination with squad-mates. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing dealer business plans, managing forecasting proactively, inventory management, and product line demand issues. You will also serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, effectively selling the value of Bayer Crop Science products.
You will collaborate with squad-mates, including Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, and Digital Enablement Leads, as well as our Technology Development Representatives. You will actively manage inventory concerns to ensure success in meeting business objectives while anticipating demand and potential bottlenecks. Additionally, you will gather, assimilate, and analyze market and competitive information, utilizing data to make key decisions to drive the business.
You will develop and recommend strategies for achieving long and short business plans for key accounts and assigned areas. You will effectively manage expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments to enable top and bottom-line growth. You will independently work to continuously expand selling skills and product/portfolio knowledge, while mentoring peers and teammates in these skills.
You will ensure achievement of program execution and program fulfillment, including national/regional marketing initiatives. You will take a leadership role in partnering with squad-mate FSRs/CBAs and manage the relationship with top growers and retailers. You will act as the business expert for top growers and retailers, while planning for customer business needs.
You will proactively mentor and coach earlier-in-career FSRs. You will manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy and process through effective problem-solving, execution, administration, and resource management. You will travel approximately 60% with significant daily face-to-face customer interaction.
Grow market share of Crop Protection/Seed and Trait business and create demand for seed growth, seed and trait, and chemistry within territory. Reports to Business Unit Lead Routinely works with Agronomic Services team, Strategic/Key Account Managers, S&T/CP field sales reps and managers, Marketing, Customer care team, Financial analyst Occasionally interacts with Strategic Business Leader Externally - Growers, Key customer accounts;
