Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Powertrain

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing an innovative and competitive supply base for powertrain, vehicle, and battery development. Your primary focus will be on ensuring speed, quality, and risk mitigation while supporting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and select new suppliers in the automotive and energy sectors
• Conduct technical and economic pre-qualifications and supplier evaluations
• Support RFQ processes, including supplier selection and benchmarking
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and cost breakdown analyses
• Manage supplier risks and define mitigation actions
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management teams
• Develop and maintain supplier dossiers and conduct benchmark analyses
• Manage mini RFIs and organize site visits at suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance through monthly dashboards and KPIs
• Support the preparation of offers and the development of new business
• Analyze technical designs, bill of materials (BOMs), and production processes
• Ensure alignment with APQP, PPAP, and IATF standards
• Continuously improve the competitiveness of suppliers and the efficiency of sourcing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or related fields
• 3-7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier scouting
• Experience in the automotive and/or energy sectors
• In-depth knowledge of powertrain systems (ICE, BEV, PHEV, FCEV), battery systems (cells, modules, BMS, cooling systems), vehicle engineering, and prototyping
• Ability to read technical drawings and analyze BOMs
• Familiarity with production processes and quality standards (APQP, PPAP, IATF)
• Strong analytical skills (TCO, cost analysis, competitiveness evaluation)
• Excellent negotiation and risk management skills
• Ability to synthesize and present information at an executive level
• Proactive attitude, autonomy, and results-oriented mindset
• Strong collaboration skills across functions
• Good to excellent English language skills
• Willingness to travel

Salary: €30,000 - €37,000
