New Model Weld Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a qualified New Model Weld Senior Project Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Greensburg, Indiana. The successful candidate will support early feasibility studies, develop department-specific project strategies, and coordinate build activities.

The role involves:

• Reviewing the Weld Department business plan and understanding Honda's vision for future products
• Investigating the impact of new manufacturing technology and specifications
• Coordinating and supporting drawing reviews, virtual builds, and Gebas (CRFs)
• Mentoring the project team for PPH, IAP Weld-specific characteristics
• Evaluating and reporting on project progress
• Coordinating on/off-line build activities and loss planning
• Setting and confirming build orders, mentoring the project team for part sorting and VIN machine entry
• Tracking pending items to closure and mentoring the project team for timely completion
• Leading feedback summaries and mentoring the project team for S,Q,D feedback summaries

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience, based on education
• 3D modelling experience (CATIA preferred)
• Previous knowledge with Honda design systems and cost management skills

Working conditions:

• Ability to lift 20 lbs and operate vibrating hand tools
• Travel 3-4 times per year or as business needs require
