Description
We are now seeking a Senior Architect with deep experience in industry standard I/O interfaces. This role will combine development of chip requirements and architecture with participation in industry standard organisations. You will have the opportunity to work alongside GPU, SOC, and system architects to evaluate I/O interface and internal fabric requirements for future chip architectures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing ECNs addressing requirements for new capabilities and steering them through industry standards organisations such as PCIe, CXL, and UCIe Driving internal architecture of our designs for adoption of features and capabilities in industry specifications Engaging with customers and partner companies to develop interconnect strategies and understand requirements for our future AI and graphics systems Working across architecture, software, hardware design, and verification teams to align functionality, compliance, and roadmaps Conducting deep-dive analysis into PCIe performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, improving data throughput, and analysing complex memory ordering requirements to ensure data consistency and efficiency
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience At least 8 years of experience in the field Deep knowledge of PCIe, CXL, UCIe, or similar I/O interface technologies Understanding of system architecture, virtual addressing/translation, interrupts, and cache coherence protocols Experience working in industry standards bodies is a plus Ability to identify, gather, and document requirements and write technical specifications and whitepapers for internal and external use Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse technical domains
