Description
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department's specific requirements and standards of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and striving to anticipate patient needs
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures
- Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- 1 year of experience required
