Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at Marshfield Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center. As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
Your responsibilities will include conducting examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease. You will also educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
You will work across a broad continuum of care, from ICU to inpatient rehab, managing complex and diverse patient needs. You will collaborate with a large, interdisciplinary rehab team and participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health.
Based on facility needs and assigned locations, you may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
- When applicable, may require valid driver's license
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
