The Manager, Site Optimization, is responsible for creating and maintaining ad hoc digital reporting for NASCAR and its associated entities. This includes maintaining an enterprise-level analytics solution, implementing tags, testing, and deploying them alongside NASCAR developers to ensure accurate site data collection and ownership of web analytics dashboards and scheduled reporting. The Manager, Site Optimization, supports the remaining NASCAR Data Strategy team in creating audience segments based on business requirements and maintaining ad hoc requirements as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Ownership of Adobe Tag Manager implementation across 15+ websites and 2+ mobile applications. Responsible for building out tag deployments, validating existing tags, and troubleshooting issues where necessary. Works closely with the Marketing team and external agencies to ensure that tags are available at the start of campaign flights and deactivated upon conclusion of campaigns. Maintain the digital analytics tracking code procedure and make recommendations to maximise efficiency in this process. Support E-Commerce specialist in building out a series of standard reports to gauge marketing channel effectiveness. Creation, maintenance, and support of web quality assurance tools and processes for the Data Strategy team with an emphasis on platform stability, maximum delivery, cost efficiency, and business communication. Support other Data Strategy team members in providing cohesive reporting on audience segmentation with an emphasis on website and mobile application behaviour. Work with the Digital Media team to roll out data collection efforts across both company websites and mobile applications, ensuring data quality and consistency. Delivery of all reporting requests for the Platform stakeholders to ensure accurate fulfilment of marketing campaigns and tracking. Creation and upkeep of a weekly KPI dashboard of website performance. Support the cross-functional business teams with Marketing, Sales, Partnership Marketing, Digital Marketing, Analytics & Insights in determining meaningful and relevant queries of the Database. Support all software integrations by providing use cases for the data and scope all new feature requests. Create and maintain documentation and inventory of all inbound systems currently in use. Resolve all reporting issues quickly and accurately, updating processes as necessary. Creation and delivery of consumer lists and reports from the industry-wide database. Assist in creating and executing a day-to-day operations plan for the overall workflow of the division. Work in tandem with the larger Data Strategy team to provide insights and applications for data collected from NASCAR websites, ticketing platforms, and mobile applications. Travel: 5% throughout race season
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Five (5) years of current data operations experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficient on all company-provided hardware and software with experience in mobile technologies. Emphasis on Data collection and segmentation technologies, including Tableau, SQL, SAP, Adobe, and other common data software (data visualisation, data mining, and modelling). Ability to QA code deployments using standard website developer tools and Adobe Assurance logging sessions. Experience with various digital reporting and audience segmentation platforms, including but not limited to Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Google Analytics, and Snowflake or other relational databases. Business-minded strategic thinker. Aptitude for leading cross-functional teams in a complex environment. Acumen in providing high-level digital counsel to senior management. Ability to make decisions and move to action with a hands-on approach.
