Description

As a Manufacturing Systems Specialist at Anduril Industries, you will play a crucial role in responding to reported manufacturing support incidents submitted by internal company stakeholders within the global manufacturing user base. Your primary responsibility will be to own the intake, evaluation, debug, escalation, communications, and tracking of reported incidents. The user base supported by this role is primarily manufacturing engineers and senior manufacturing technicians.

Key responsibilities include serving as the critical bridge between production operations and digital manufacturing systems (PLM/ERP/MES), identifying and resolving software issues that impact production efficiency. You will monitor intake of reported software problems across multiple manufacturing platforms, conduct root cause analysis by observing actual manufacturing processes and how they interact with digital systems to identify disconnects between software functionality and production needs.

You will evaluate urgency, impact, and scope of reported incidents based on real manufacturing constraints and production schedules, escalate to engineering support when required and provide clear operational context to software development about manufacturing realities. You will work directly with manufacturing engineers and technicians and regularly visit the production floor to understand operational context.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work directly with software development teams, enterprise solution architects, and manufacturing subject matter experts to drive comprehensive solutions. You will propose new functionality or process improvements that would enhance the operator experience, streamline production workflows, and reduce support needs.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will proactively identify potential unreported problems by regularly observing production processes and analyzing system data patterns. You will create and maintain standard operating procedures for new feature workflows, develop workarounds and best practices that accommodate both system limitations and production requirements.

You will lead/coordinate training for new feature rollouts and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
