SBN - Tailor - Singa

We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team on board a cruise ship. As a Tailor, you will play an integral role in providing guests and crew with a high level of service, focusing on effectively maintaining the tailor shop and following procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the workplace and tailor shop, ensuring adherence to working hours and correct uniform wear
• Produce, repair, distribute, and collect uniforms
• Ensure complete sets of uniforms are produced and issued to crew members and officers
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels within budgets and accurate inventory reports
• Receive and verify raw materials and supplies
• Maintain reports, books, and paperwork related to tailor shop production
• Follow issuing PAR sheet for each crew and officer embarking
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct monthly visits with the Executive Housekeeper to observe uniform presentation in each workplace
• Perform weekly rounds in guest suites and public areas to check curtains
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean work environment
• Perform regular inventory counts and spot checks
• Report discrepancies and equipment issues to the Executive Housekeeper
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• High school education preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Tailor
• Physically able to carry at least 40 lbs
• Ability to work well and communicate effectively with shipboard personnel
• Multi-tasking and inventory management skills
