Description
As a Solution Architect at Ford, you will play a key role in shaping the company's digitization journey through strategic roadmaps and innovative technical solutions. You will engage with various stakeholders, including business partners, architects, product owners, product managers, and product designers, to develop and implement solutions that meet the company's objectives.
The primary focus of this role is on the Global Order To Delivery / Order Fulfilment (Sales & Marketing) area, where you will work on developing and enhancing specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution. You will also gather and document business requirements, support the creation of Business Integration Models, and develop data models and provide references for data needs.
In addition to technical skills, you will need to have strong business acumen in end-to-end supply chain management of Vehicle Sales & Production Planning & Vehicle Order Fulfilment, its associated business capabilities and solutions. You will also need to have certification in TOGAF or any cloud architecture.
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for creating conceptual architecture design proposals from business requirements, evaluating NFRs and determining appropriate design patterns for the solution, translating design proposal into proof of concept with hands-on development work as required, and ensuring actual solutions meet the conceptual design and align with strategic objectives.
You will also need to have strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will be working with cross-functional teams, including product teams, business teams, and other stakeholders. You will need to be able to facilitate results-driven meetings, drive to follow an idea to its logical conclusion, and present PoV and ideas to management in a clear and concise manner.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Comp Science or related stream, with 7+ year IT experience covering 3+ year on related business/IT including progressive experience in the architecture or engineering space with hands-on Business Analysis and/or Product Design & Management, and 4+ year Technical experience in application development and support. They will also need to have recent 2-3 years role as Product Anchor or Enterprise Architect.
The drive to follow an idea to its logical conclusion and ability to present to management in a clear and concise manner are essential qualities for this role. The candidate should also have demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, good exposure working on presentation/Data analysis tools like MS-Powerpoint/MS-Excel/Visio tools, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong team player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to continuously learn, innovate and grow self and team, and willingness to be flexible and seek ideas/inputs from others and collaborate.
Desired qualifications include being Agile and exposure using Agile tools/processes (Jira), willingness to learn new technologies, knowledge of Marketing & Sales systems and business processes, knowledge of Supply Chain Management, and knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Google, AWS, Azure).
The job requires the candidate to be based in Chennai, India, and be willing to work on-site.
