Description
Join the team as our next Marketing Analyst, PLG & Self-Serve Analytics.
This position is needed to be part of a highly visible Marketing Analytics team serving as the dedicated analytics partner for Twilio's self-serve and PLG motion, reporting into the MSA&I function (Marketing Strategy, Analytics and Innovation).
You will serve as the connective tissue between GTM engineers and business teams, ensuring business goals are translated into scalable technical programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead PLG Analytics: Own PLG analytics for Twilio's self-service business, including free-to-paid conversion, usage-based cohorting, signal-based audience development, and growth experimentation across the self-serve funnel.
- Bridge the Technical Gap: Translate business needs into technical solutions using Python and SQL. Collaborate with Marketing Data Engineering to take tests from pilot to production.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Build relationships with sales and marketing leaders to translate hypotheses into actionable experiments and identify high-leverage use cases.
- Drive Iteration: Build tight feedback loops with sales teams to validate play effectiveness and evolve dashboards, cohort models, and experimentation frameworks.
- Synthesize Data: Distill complex insights into clear, concise communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, focusing on 1-2 succinct takeaways for executives.
- Develop Toolkits: Build and maintain analytical toolkits - scoring models, segmentation frameworks, dashboards - that help Sales and Marketing teams act on insights at scale.
Qualifications:
- Proven Technical Ability: Fluency in SQL and Python is essential.
- PLG/Self-Serve Experience: Prior experience with product-led growth metrics (activation rates, free-to-paid conversion, usage-based expansion) or experience in a usage-based SaaS environment.
- AI/LLM Fluency: Ability to work with different Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop innovative business solutions.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience leveraging data to uncover insights and influence business strategy.
- Strategic Thinker: A passion for 'picking up the trash', identifying problems and fixing them proactively instead of waiting for instructions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field, or equivalent practical experience.
