Principal Software Engineer (Auth0)

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Auth0Lab Team at Okta. As a senior software engineer, you will work on cutting-edge projects, shaping the future of identity and security for developers and companies.

The Auth0Lab Team focuses on incubating new Auth0 products and features, particularly in the areas of generative AI and identity security. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team, learn quickly, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement proof-of-concepts and demos of new products, features, or standard implementations
• Lead industry-wide efforts and protocols around identity with recommendations, samples, and SDKs
• Develop samples and SDKs to facilitate the use of Auth0 capabilities
• Research market adjacencies to inform company strategy, M&A decisions, and future investment ideas

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 4+ years of experience in identity and cloud services
• 3+ years of experience working in developer tooling or a strong passion for it
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance simplicity and flexibility
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems
• Understanding of cloud system costs
