As a Certification Specialist, you will play a key role in building and safeguarding the company's internal automotive regulations know-how across global markets. You will ensure that regulatory knowledge within your area of expertise is correct, current, and applied with precision.
Let us describe the challenge we offer As a Certification Specialist, you will ensure accurate and timely handling of documentation, submissions, and reporting related to automotive regulations and type approval. Acting as the main internal point of contact for legal requirement questions within specific areas, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation, as well as with external partners and authorities. Your ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into clear, actionable guidance will be critical to successful product and project delivery. This role is located at Polestar's HQ in Gothenburg.
Responsibilities
- Analyze regulations to maintain sufficient competence within applicable regulatory areas
- Support certification and type approval application tasks within specific areas
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide in-depth interpretation of legal requirements
- Maintain contact with external partners and authorities
- Analyze the impact of product or project changes and provide clear, actionable recommendations
Who you are To be a good fit for this role, we believe you have the following:
- University degree in engineering or equivalent education
- At least 3 years' experience in vehicle certification and type approval
- Deep knowledge of automotive regulations, type approval, and certification in global markets
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand complex regulatory texts
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience in product development and testing of complex technical systems is an advantage
