Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care team at Lexington Medical Center.

The Critical Care Unit at Lexington Medical Center is a 16-bed unit that provides both Intensive and Intermediate Care. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an acute care setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patient needs, and uphold professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Monitor and trend heart rhythms and other hemodynamic pressures.
• Care for patients on ventilators, noninvasive ventilation with BiPAP or CPAP, and heated high flow oxygen delivery.
• Titrate medication IV drips to ordered parameters and follow protocols and order sets.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Greater than 2 years of ICU RN experience preferred.
