Description

Join our team as a Physical Therapist and play a vital role in helping clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.

As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease. You will utilise tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards and document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation.

You will establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary, educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. You will also demonstrate knowledge of and utilise appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents.

You will work with individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders, demonstrating documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meeting all regulatory requirements. You will also participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health.

You will be interacting with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, third-party payers, public organisations, companies/contractual partners, etc. You may be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.

You will be expected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership. You will perform other related duties as requested by manager.

Based on facility needs and assigned locations, you may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long-term care and home health care environments.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure, be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist, and obtain and subsequently maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
