Compensation
The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary range for this role is $105K – $125K, with generous equity, performance-related bonus(es) for eligible employees, and the following benefits.

OpenAI's mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. We're seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team, focusing on the logistics and coordination of recruiting efforts for the Recruiting organization.
About the Role
As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will:
- Take ownership of the scheduling process, end to end, for evergreen and opportunistic hiring needs
- Act as a partner for recruiting ops problems and help find solutions through a mix of data, tools, and collaboration
- Greet candidates onsite in the office to provide a welcoming interview experience
- Be the primary scheduling and interview planner for various Recruiters and Hiring Managers across technical teams
- Use tools like Ashby, Guide, ChatGPT, G-Suite, and others to uphold a timely and positive hiring experience and process
- Problem solve and adapt to an ever-changing environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion
- Manage clear, concise, timely, and professional communication with candidates and hiring partners in written and verbal form
- Handle candidate reimbursement & travel (domestic and international)
- Work with the Executive Operations team to support and improve candidate experience and management of senior and executive level candidates
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of recruiting coordination experience, including experience scaling processes and driving operational improvements across teams
- Highly skilled in tools like Google Calendar, Guide, Ashby, Slack, and Notion with demonstrated ability to handle high-volume tasks efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with senior level candidates and stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks while adapting to changing demands
- Detail-oriented and proactive in addressing challenges
- Collaborative mindset and a willingness to enhance coordination processes
- Discretion when working with senior and executive level candidates
Preferred Qualifications:
- Broader knowledge of AI or technology trends to engage candidates effectively
- Advanced technical knowledge of tools used for process automation or optimization in recruiting
- Familiarity with interviewer training logistics, feedback workflows, or recruiting ops tooling
- A process improvement mindset
Location & Workplace
This role is based in our San Francisco office and we use a hybrid work model: three days in the office per week with optional work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.
