At Ford Motor Company of Canada, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress. We're seeking an Embedded Software Developer to join our GVC Architecture team, where you'll contribute to software architecture enablement and advanced engineering initiatives supporting connected vehicle platforms.
As a member of our team, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and improve embedded, testing, middleware, platform engineering, and AI Ops solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing and validating proof of concepts for architectural proposals, owning a module or tooling component within the architecture team's scope, and building internal developer tools, automation, and AI-enabled workflows that improve engineering effectiveness across teams.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, and 3-5 years of hands-on experience in C++ development for high-level OS environments (Linux or QNX) and C development for MCU or bare-metal systems. Practical AUTOSAR experience is also highly desirable.
In addition to your technical skills, you'll need excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you're passionate about software development and want to make a meaningful contribution to the automotive industry, we encourage you to apply.
