Join our team as a Physical Therapist and play a key role in helping clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.
As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease. You will utilise tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards.
You will document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation; establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary. You will educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
You will demonstrate knowledge of and utilise appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents. You will incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.
You will work alongside an interdisciplinary team including nursing, home health aides, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. You will participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health.
You will be expected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership. You will perform other related duties as requested by manager.
This role requires a Physical Therapist with a licence in the state(s) of practice. You will obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers is required or within the first 60 days of employment.
