FBS – Farmer Business Services is part of Farmers operations with the purpose of building a global approach to identifying, recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent. As a Lead Guidewire Architect, you will serve as the primary technical strategist for the Commercial Insurance Modernization initiative, overseeing the transition of complex legacy core systems to a future-ready, cloud-native ecosystem.
The role requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in System Architecture or field to design and develop more complex physical architecture to support a specialized, specific system/platform, in alignment with system standards and principles. You will be instrumental in modernizing commercial lines,including bureau-based products, ensuring that our platform is scalable, resilient, and capable of supporting emerging technologies like AI/ML and advanced analytics.
Key responsibilities include reviewing detail design and code to ensure alignment to high-level design and architecture, executing POCs and pilots on platform to highlight quick business outcomes, working independently with guidance in only the most complex situations, and providing strong influences and accountability to the success of the vendor roadmap to maximize value delivered by platform.
In addition, you will be responsible for solution and strategic design, commercial domain alignment, stakeholder liaison, framework governance, complex integrations, mentorship, cloud migration, DevOps and automation, performance engineering, and AI-driven business value.
