Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain & Underbody Systems Engineer with a strong background in active driveline & underbody systems engineering. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in delivering complete powertrain systems from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of research processes, understand how technology can be fast-tracked into production, and possess the fundamentals to deliver a high-quality design from concept to production.
Responsibilities: Lead the conceptual layout and delivery of a new driveline system Manage program delivery of quality, cost, weight, function, and timing from concept through to production Coordinate and manage outside engineering and design resources Interface with core technical specialists to ensure delivery of a quality system design Function as primary technical interface with manufacturing engineering to ensure the system fits with the process and meets commercial needs Technical management of all interface complexities with neighbouring systems Support vehicle program/platform teams to address functional vehicle performance attributes Technical leadership for prototype builds Technical leadership for problem resolution
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development of complete powertrain and underbody systems, with a strong emphasis on high-performance applications Proven experience delivering multiple high-performance powertrain and underbody systems from concept and launch through production
