Description
Eurostar Group operates high-speed rail services connecting the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. The Procurement function plays a key role in supporting Eurostar's business strategy by managing over €850 million of annual spend across a wide variety of categories.
As a Procurement Intern, you will join the Procurement Service Delivery team and gain hands-on experience across procurement operations, strategic sourcing, and procurement transformation activities. You will contribute to a wide range of initiatives, including market analysis, supplier benchmarking, procurement governance, tender support, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement projects.
Strategic Procurement Support
- Support Procurement Managers in the preparation and delivery of tenders across a variety of categories including Marketing, HR, Facilities, IT, and Professional Services.
- Analyse supplier markets, identify potential new suppliers, and support commercial benchmarking exercises.
- Gather and analyse internal and external data to support procurement strategies and negotiations.
- Assist in supplier evaluations and commercial assessments.
- Contribute to procurement reporting and performance monitoring.
Procurement Transformation & Governance
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Assist with procurement governance activities, including the Commitment Board and Contract Signature processes.
- Monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Contribute to procurement transformation projects and change initiatives.
Procurement Operations
- Maintain procurement templates, databases, and documentation.
- Support the administration of procurement and tender management tools.
- Manage and maintain procurement knowledge repositories and intranet content.
- Ensure procurement information remains accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
Stakeholder & Project Support
- Assist in organising workshops, training sessions, and supplier meetings.
- Support cross-functional stakeholders during procurement activities.
- Lead selected low-risk procurement projects under the supervision of senior procurement professionals.
- Collaborate with teams based in Brussels, Paris, and London.
