Senior Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. As a Senior Consultant Specialist, you will conduct application engineering as a full stack engineer, collaborating with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics, and IT to deliver data-driven solutions on top of cloud platforms.

Principal responsibilities:

• Conduct application engineering as a full stack engineer.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics, and IT to deliver data-driven solutions on top of cloud platforms.
• Work with Tech Lead and other engineers to complete the low-level design.
• Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering HSBC baseline cloud architecture.
• Ensure DevSecOps capabilities are built in as part of the solution.
• Ensure development is completed at a high standard and is aligned with IT governance and control frameworks.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree is preferred.
• GCP or AWS certified (GCP preferred).
• Excellent core Python skills.
• Prompt engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in LLM application delivery, with strong understanding of popular LLM solutions in the market.
• Experience in LLM application agentic framework.
• Sound understanding of Azure/Google Cloud platforms.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Storage, Cloud Functions.
• Experience in performing data analysis, on Databases (SQL, no-SQL, DBT).
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Security (IAM, AD, ADLDS, roles, service accounts, entitlements).
• Events & Data Streaming: Data Proc, Pub-Sub, Confluent/Kafka.
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to communicate and explain complex ideas in both oral and written English.
• Good stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience using GIT, Jira, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Agile development, in particular Scrum/Kanban.
