GitLab is seeking a People Business Partner Leader to serve as a strategic business partner to multiple C-level executives. The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced global People Business Partners who support executive leadership.
The role involves translating business priorities into talent strategies that help GitLab scale a high-performing, values-driven technical organization in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will have experience driving organizational transformation and change management, including designing organization structures, building leadership capability, and embedding scalable people practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a senior people partner to several C-level executives and their executive teams
- Architecting and leading large-scale organizational transformation
- Advising global engineering teams with on-call responsibilities
- Driving talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development
- Providing people analytics to leadership
- Coaching and counseling executives and senior leaders
- Partnering with various teams to ensure talent needs are reflected in company-wide people programs
- Leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing team of People Business Partners
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading people strategy through significant organizational transformation, experience operating at the intersection of Product/Engineering, Finance, Total Rewards, and Talent Acquisition, and the ability to build and scale a People Business Partner team.

The base salary range for this role is $184,800-$380,400 USD.
