Description
To support the safe and effective running of day-to-day operations of a Depot by ensuring all drivers are trained to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of HGV driving experience, including multiple HGV modes, and proven expertise in conducting driver assessments. They will also hold a valid Class 2 HGV Licence and Digital Tachograph, as well as up-to-date CPC Training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Supporting the hiring process with pre-employment assessments and delivering a comprehensive 5-day Driver Induction aligned with standards and legislation.
- Ongoing Driver Training: Providing regular refresher and additional mode training to enhance driver skills and customer experience.
- Record Management: Maintaining accurate driver competence and training records using Express Class.
- Post-Incident Support: Offering reassessment and retraining for drivers following incidents.
- Driving Performance Reviews: Regularly analysing driving data with management to identify and address support needs.
- Behavioural Interventions: Conducting targeted support for drivers requiring improvements in actions or behaviours.
- Vehicle Updates Communication: Staying updated on vehicle technical changes and sharing relevant information with drivers.
- Continuous Improvement and Development: Enhancing training delivery, optimising driver learning, and pursuing personal professional development.
Salary: £40,000
